  1. You don't "need" a number one if your QB is Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, etc. Otherwise, it helps a lot.
  2. Byron Bell started on a team that went to the Super Bowl and should've been 18-0 going in. Then Von Miller and the rest of the defense happened. He wasn't great, but he was serviceable.
  3. I actually heard Bryce Young put in an offer to buy the Panthers but rescinded it before he got to Alabama because he needed to focus on school. From there, Tepper consulted with Bryce on his analysis of the parameters of an offer.
  4. You can tell people are desperate around here. There is no way to know, on either side of the coin. Most people are slobbering all over Young for every step he takes in BoA yet he has done nothing thus far. He also hasn't done anything wrong. I'd think people need to temper their expectations because at this point it's like people are expecting Drew Brees type numbers in Year 1 (and Brees played like ass outdoors). If he doesn't live up to the hype, but it still good enough, people will be back to their poo storm here. What goes up must come down. Manage your expectations people.
  5. THIS KID. OMGAH. SO...IMPRESSIVE! JUST EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD. WOW! Man, people drooling over this guy more than any other player I can remember and he literally has not done poo yet. Nothing. Nadda. Zilch. Can we at least wait until Preseason before we have enough drool to fill up the fuging Pacific Ocean? It's nauseating.
  6. That's what happens when you have a noodle for an arm instead of a cannon. Don't @ me.
  7. I'd rather have Will Levis, Anthony Richardson, or CJ Stroud. Young and Mayfield may end up being two peas in a pod of batted down passes.
  8. Which begs the question...why draft another shorth QB?
  9. Fields can run 40 yards and hand it off to him, would be my guess.
  10. It absolutely does. Especially if Bryce's dad communicated with his son in a way which was more reminiscent of a counselor.
  11. He didn't "earn" the starting job by being the number one pick. He has been given the job. Now he has to earn it or, as Tepper has shown, he will move on by 2024.
  12. But he's not. He's 5'10 and whether people like it or not, size matters.
  13. Give Mahomes a chance, he still has time to defraud people. As for Super Bowls, there is quite the difference between what Favre was able to do in the 90's versus Mahomes today. Put Favre in today's game, with the guardrails up and a seasoned Andy Reid and you'd get the same result. Favre is on Mount Rushmore. Mahomes is still on his way to South Dakota.
  14. I'm confused. Can someone re-explain pronouns to me? poo is getting out of hand. He is him now? He is it's? Its? Its'? Jesus. Can't we just say that Jaycee Horn, when healthy, is great? We all know this. He just hasn't been healthy. Move him to receiver and call it a day.
  15. Go watch games from both, back to back. Or highlights. Or whatever. Favre won three MVP's, back-to-back-to-back. When Mahomes does that, you can @ me.
  16. Beta move...5'10...what did we expect? He's intimidated by the fans...
  17. Tell me how Bryce plays bigger than his size? He plays like he's 5'10. He scrambles, slides, and finds guys in backyard football style breaks. He plays to his size. Again, people here with blind optimism when there is video out there of Stroud and Levis shredding with laser throws and the same movements as Bryce.
  18. Mahomes is Favre if Favre had Andy Reid as a head coach. They are basically carbon copies of one another. And before you say "interceptions", Mahomes is only like 0.7% better in his TD-INT ratio.
  19. I wanted Levis, Richardson or Stroud over Young...I hope I'm wrong, but I think Levis is going to be really, really good.
  20. He's tiny. Refute that, objective, fact. It's not a feeling and it's not all I refuse to see. I see the skills of your average rookie in only a helmet but he's 5'10, so he looks tiny doing it. Refute that. Please. The blind optimism here is nauseating.
  21. Saying he's short, and inquiring about his ability to stay healthy, is not a bad thing. Why everyone here acts like it's an asinine take are more absurd than those questioning the issue to begin with. Rational thought has left the building.
  22. Until he actually plays a game, what is one to do? He looks tiny. That's an objective fact none of you can refute.
  23. Single handedly helped lose the Bucs game but, sure.
  24. I'd have preferred Richardson or Stroud. Hell, maybe even to have been able to trade down and take Levis. If Young works out, great. We are banking on him not just breaking the mold, but shattering it and tossing it in the trash. Average arm, average release, 5'10, above average processing, average mobility. Even comparing him to Steph Curry is a stretch because Curry is 6'3 and is an outside shooter. My job here isn't to make anyone miserable. But you don't get to start at Alabama without being able to call protections and seeing an overload blitz isn't difficult when you recognize the alignment. Josh wanted Stroud. His breakdowns made that obvious.
