  1. Buying the band lunch during an official function is one thing. Buying transfers through promises of financial aid from individual coaches, donors, etc. is another. Now I'm not saying that's what Teddy did and I don't think that's what he did, so I think they are mis-applying the rules here. I find his situation different from say, what Pruitt was doing at Tennessee. It's sort of like what Saban helped his players do. Buy them Ferrari's, lodging, etc. You know?
  2. Give them guaranteed contracts worth half the amount they would receive in an incentivized contract then.
  3. This is high school. they don’t need to be offering anything a typical student wouldn’t get. They are STUDENT-athletes. They are athletes second and that is a distant second in the grand scheme of things. As such, they shouldn’t get any more benefit than a theatre or band kid. but I digress, I’m sure I’ll be flamed for that opinion as we are in an era of putting everyone who plays sports on a pedestal, no matter how young.
  4. If Renfrow can run choice routes that well, he may help open the field for Theilen.
  5. Because Jedd Fisch left to go to Washington in 2024. The whole team tanked.
  6. Who would you rather have, availability not being an issue? Give me a healthy CMC over Gore.
  7. Rodgers isn't a golden boy like Manning was. Manning was "The Golden Boy" of his era despite the dominance by Brady and Belichek.
  8. If it were now, he would be re-signed because of what he could bring to a team. Deshuan Watson was signed to $250 million guaranteed. Kaepernick's problem was that he just wasn't that good. Good enough to win, but not better than any other QB teams could go get, and win with.
  9. It’s just a game man. Chill out. whether we are good or not doesn’t truly matter. Personally, I am indifferent even though I will watch every second of every game. My expectations are gone. Any contention for playoffs is a cherry on an otherwise very large, very long, unfulfilling pie.
  10. Theilen is clearly the better all around receiver than Ginn but they are different olayers and comparing them is useless. Theilen is more like a Cotchery than a Ginn.
  11. DJ Chark has a 1,000 yard season under his belt and made numerous insane catches to bail Bryce out. Theilen is obviously Theilen. Mingo and TMJ aren’t great. In my mind, Chark is better than McMillan, XL, and Coker at this point and you typically only run with three receivers max. Now had we drafted Tyler Warren, I’d agree with you.
  12. "Give" is a fun word. The players should earn it. Many don't. Jamarcus Russell comes to mind. Deshaun Watson comes to mind. Now Jaire Alexander comes to mind.
  13. You're lacking in logic here. As a fan, with the way the cap is constructed, you shouldn't want fully guaranteed contracts. What Kevin Stefanski has been able to do with an essential handicap of $50+ million annually on what they can spend is nothing short of a miracle.
  14. Now in my 30’s, I couldn’t care less about statistics. Just win the game man.
  15. He threw 28 touchdowns last year in his first season back from a torn Achilles at 41 years old. I will give him the benefit of the doubt until this season is over. The AFC North is a horrible division to go to if you’re just trying to get to the playoffs to make some magic happen, though. He could have his usual 45 touchdown and 4 interception year and they may still end up 9-8.
  16. I mean, that’s a literal definition of the city at the delta of the Mississippi River, isn’t it? if we are being honest, all big cities are overrated and quite gross. Give me a boat and an atoll.
  17. If he plays like he did at Atlanta then yes, most definitely.
  18. He’s been Top 8 in most important statistical categories since he came into the league. id take that form of mediocrity all day.
  19. We didn’t need T-Mac when we have Legette though. We needed a guy like Golden to learn behind Theilen for a year and become the premier route runner in the NFL with world class speed. But hey…I wasn’t in the room.
  20. He was an App State commit, then got a PWO from Clemson and worked his way up to National Championship hero and eventual NFL Pro Bowler. People here can try to discount him all that they want but he is a receiver, and doesn’t look like traditional receivers, and managed to climb as high as he did, and all of that while having the most average measurables you can have.
  21. Would have rather had Golden, Loveland, or Warren but the rest of the draft I’m good with.
  22. I mean, he’s said we’ve done bad for a while now and has been right… So your theory isn’t correct.
  23. McMillan can’t get open. Bryce’s favorite target is a pure route runner who creates separation and we continue to take the opposite of that. 50/50 ball ability is great, but only when you combine it with the ability to run the rest of the route tree. Rule 1 for receivers is beating press coverage and McMillan cannot do that.
  24. You do? Had we taken Golden, I might agree. Having him work with Theilen would have been ideal. It all seems very disjointed and stiff to me.
