  1. So who had "Trade QB to New Orleans" on their Carolina Panthers bingo card
  2. Prime sports journalism right here. My takeaways: - Surprised that they decided against trading up early on, good insight into Fitter’s mentality. - I get the impression that they aren’t interested in Lance at 8. - They aren’t completely sold on Fields either but haven’t ruled him out and they don’t expect him to fall anyway. He’ll be a game time decision, and with Darnold they may well pass on him for a top non-QB even if he is there.
  3. They made it clear that a pass catching TE was a priority. A lot of people seemed to write that off once Arnold was signed but Pitts is the ideal prospect in that regard.
  4. 100%. And I believe Pitts is the best player in this draft. LT has plagued this team for too long. One solid year from Oher and we went to the Super Bowl 15-1. Deep OT classes don't happen much and we're sitting pretty in this one. We have to strike now.
  5. I’m going to be over the moon if we get either. I’d be perfectly happy with Slater too, but Pitts and Sewell are the type of prospects that we have no business having a chance at.
  6. I may end up regretting this but I don’t want Lance anymore. Don’t see him as a sure enough bet over Darnold to justify the #8.
  7. Yep. The organization and the fans have made it clear that he’s no longer welcome here. Brought that on himself too. The coaches were being supportive until he threw them under the bus. Also the article in the OP is 100% speculation based on Denver inquiring earlier and Houston for obvious reasons, but I agree with Sizzlebuzz that there’s no need for Teddy with Tyrod on the Texans.
  8. We're a lot more talented than the Jets. Just compare Teddy's season to Darnold's last year with Robby and the gap quickly starts to close.
  9. This makes him sound down on it but he said the Jets didn't develop Darnold and spoke highly of their chemistry together in the same interview.
  10. Higher ceiling than Teddy and we got him cheap. I'm all for it. Draft Sewell or Pitts and I'm stoked.
  11. Anyone but the damn Sixers in the first round. Philly is like built to destroy us. Our worst matchup in the league.
  12. For me it's that he's not even the veteran presence he's made out to be. I could forgive him underwhelming on the field if he was at least a good role model for the younger guys. He was the opposite more often than not.
  13. He'll be back for the playoffs no doubt. The guys have really stepped up.
  14. Would have been better off just admitting to looking for sex and denying forcing anybody. This is just embarassing
  15. As with many employers there is no due process in the NFL. The harsh truth is that this all comes down to optics and from an outside perspective this is a bigger mess than Roethlisberger or Kobe, who got the benefit of doubt in a lot of coverage due to the questions around consent in their cases. We’re looking at a possible serial offender here. This can’t be swept under the rug as a one off incident or a drunken mistake.
  16. PJ has more upside and if he doesn’t pan out we’ll be sitting pretty in next year’s draft. Teddy can’t do any worse than last season if Christian’s healthy so if he’s the starter again you can forget a top 10 pick.
  17. Why it needs to be an LT this year if not a QB. That way we at least lower the bar for the calibur of QB we need to have back there.
  18. "Babe it's not like that you know how picky I am with massages"
  19. Letting Davis AND Samuel walk was a big mistake
  20. At this point if it’s either true or the most elaborate character assassination in the history of sports
  21. My independent investigation found him guilty of being a dummy with terrible judgement so no.
  22. It's going to be hard for them to miss in this draft. Even if 4 QBs go Sewell, Slater, Farley, Pitts, are all great.
  23. No, going about consent that way when you're a high profile target is piss-poor judgement and speaks to larger character issues. If he wasn't mentioning sex until the women were in front of him that's part of his kink.
  24. If you can't understand women being scared into submission and silence by powerful men you're beyond help. Toxic masculinity even by football forum standards.
