Athletic mock projects NC State tackle to Panthers
MechaZain replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Reposting from another thread: USA Today's comparison for Ekwonu is Moton. NFL Comparison: Taylor Moton. The 2017 second-round pick of the Panthers out of Western Michigan has a similar heat-seeking, pure badass profile to Ekwonu’s, as he showed in 2020 against the Atlanta Falcons. At 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds, Moton can be susceptible to speed rushers at times (just as Ekwonu can), but teams with power-based offenses will be falling all over themselves to get a tackle with Ekwonu’s power profile. We’d like to see Ekwonu and Moton playing tackle for the same team, because that would be quite fun. -
ELLIS L. WILLIAMS Of the OBSERVER on Jimmy G
MechaZain replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah that's acting like the Browns, Jets, Niners, and Panthers are all the same team just with different quarterbacks -
Ball's a distributer first and unselfish I don't see this being a problem

Discussion: The Panther Decision involving Baker
MechaZain replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've said it a bunch but if they get a LT with 6 I don't really care what they do at QB. Personally I'm not sure Baker is much of an upgrade over Sam or Cam. We just know what he can look like with solid pass protection and haven't seen that with the other two. -
Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements
MechaZain replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
He just wants a bidding war between the Carolinas. I hope he's not that dumb to think a practice facility is going to pull in a significant number of SC fans. -
This isn't crazy low for an unproven coach. The others making around his money going into this season were Memphis and Milwaukee and they're top teams right now.

"What are we doing in the draft" 2022 edition.
MechaZain replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
This validates what I’ve been feeling so it must be true! In all seriousness it’s a relief to hear they’re high on Ikem. If it comes down to Cross I hope they don’t get cute. -
Everytime we shuffle between mediocre QBs we just decrease their already slim chances of becoming more and we lose assets in the process. Stop trying to find a castaway that's going to turn the franchise around in one season and give the ones we've already gambled on an actual shot at succeeding.

Also campaigning for certain teammates is cool but don't just comment on every social media rumor like you're assistant GM -
What is the impetus for the “Keep Pounding” pushaway?
MechaZain replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's cool but we've been losing that battle for decades now, so how good of a chant is it really? -
Kyler Murray deal in Arizona getting very interesting.

To be fair Mahomes said similar and that he only learned how to read defenses three years ago -

Cost saving measure since the stadium is already decked out in these colors but I seriously doubt he has any problems with them -

Think y'all are overcomplicating it. Keep Pounding is a great mantra with history but it's a bad crowd chant. Fans don't say chant it during games without the jumbotron prompting it and even then we're not exactly intimidating about it. The drum intro is where it gets to shine and that hasn't gone anywhere but y'all are convinced he's like out to kill it. The soccer team owner probably wants our crowds like those, or at least closer to Seattle or Pittsburgh. If Keep Pounding is so important to our culture why have we been complaining the stadium being full of unethusiastic wine & cheese fans all this time. -
Worth it to dump Hayward early. Terry's cool but LaMelo been taking lead and Bouk in waiting makes it not awful.

Lost all love for Oubre this game. You can’t be cold AND not play defense bro pick one
-
JB is like Rivera in that media is so dazzled by our sudden relevance that they're blind to the ways he's holding the team back. Outside of the fanbase he's not considered a bad coach.
-
Oubre and McDaniels should never share the court
-
Capella might do Harrell even worse. Trez does not even try to stop high flyers.

Uh oh Plumlee decided to be a NBA center today. CORRECTION: Spoke too soon...
