  1. CMC wanted out so they got what they could
  2. Great to see him more at peace. Awesome stuff.
  3. They know where the bathrooms are and the locker room's wifi password
  4. O-line's improved enough that we shouldn't have to draft a QB that can take a beating. If CMC is still around and Bryce can read the field as well as advertised a competent OC can manage that pressure.
  5. Take three inches off his height and make him clinically depressed
  6. Not for nothing CMC's reciever drill was the best combine performance I've ever seen. I think he's got some of the surest hands in the league regardless of position. Doesn't make him an elite WR but he can play the position at much higher level than Steve could play RB.
  7. All I got from that is he hears the rumors but he's focused on the Panthers until something changes and her account of it sounded like him. The part where she says "if" he's traded she hopes it's to a contender or somewhere he can make a difference, I wonder if that's just mom talking or something he's expressed to her.
  8. Cholula, Tobasco, Texas Pete, or salsa on eggs. Ketchup on steak is sin. A1 is ok but the cook should be ashamed if it comes to that.
  9. With the team passing so bad and the recievers moping about it it's hard to tell. Aside from that Shenault highlight none of them seem to want to be out there.
  10. Smith's my favorite player of all-time but I'd pick CMC. Smitty's everything you want in a WR but Christian trancends his position and opens the playbook, giving you strategic options you would not have with other RBs. Smith was elite but there's few players all-time that break the mold and force coaches to evolve their thinking like Christian. Also why I dismiss those who point to our failures as proof that CMC doesn't move the needle. He hasn't come anywhere near his potential because he hasn't had a coach yet who knows how to use him in a non-traditional way.
  11. I don't think we'd be looking for or appealing to a "young offensive mind" at head coach if CMC wasn't in the teams plans going forward, especially after how Rhule's college experience worked out for us.
  12. Then let him be reason you lose instead of calling it like a youth rec center game
  13. BS excuse, sorry. No matter who the QB is you can't win in the modern NFL never throwing past 10 yards. Even with Teddy Noodlearm under center they never completely abandoned the deep ball and the threat was enough to keep us in games. Call the game to win. If PJ can't deliver that's on him, but now it's on the coaches who lost before the game even started going with this unwinnable strategy.
  14. DMV area slang for someone younger or smaller than you, like "shorty" but derogatory. It's also been around for 20+ years so it's not your age.
  15. It was cool seeing Smitty show he had some gas left after we kicked him out unceremoniously but that's about it. I'm a major homer. I can't even bring myself to watch non-Panther games. As far as a trade I can't imagine a return for CMC that would be worthwhile. I'd rather have him for another 2 or 3 years over a late first and a third or whatever.
  16. I don't think Wilks or Tepper have it in them to tank but it sure looked like tanking
  17. The big difference between Steve Smith and DJ is that for better or worse Smitty always believed he could take over a game if called on and he’d get frustrated at his teammates for not coming with that same energy. DJ is talented and has been dealt a bad hand, but instead of trying to overcome the situation he checks out when the going gets rough. WR1 has to be a constant threat to blow the game up. He’d be happier and more productive as the #2 or 3 on a team where he just does his job and clocks out for the day. The Panthers need more out of him than that.
  18. I understand he had nothing to work with but you can’t just not throw the ball.
  19. It would be cool but expect a Cam sort of window at best
