League denies refs asked Evans for autograph
MechaZain replied to MechaZain's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh so they had a personal conversation and exchanged contact info that's much better -

Players hoping to help Wilks win the full time job
MechaZain replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm optimistic that he may be a better defensive mind than Rivera after that argument with Snow. I can't imagine Ron getting into it with other coaches over the gameplan or general philosophy. Bold for a secondary coach to put his neck out there like that unless he's sure of what he's talking about. But yeah, it's too early to call. So far he's just a good Locker Room Dad. -
Albert Breer talks Panthers, Burns, and details McCaffrey trade...

I'm glad they evaluated SF's picks assuming they'll be at the bottom of every round. Probably a standard practice but that had draft chart Huddle fugged up. -
Not worth even thinking about until towards the end of the season when the order starts to become clear. There's a huge difference between wanting to lose a couple games for a better pick once knocked out of playoff contention and expecting the team to throw the year away.

Ickey making the pro bowl his rookie season would be very happy ending to the LT saga.

Ding Ding. Problem never was the player. Coaches used him as a crutch instead of a tool.

Could someone give PJ some credit please?

PJ “The Franchise” Walker I’m sorry I lost faith -

Honestly though. Expensive California city without the good weather. Worst homelessness in the country and I've spent a lot of time in NYC and LA.

I don't think you do bud. I mostly agree. My problem's with folks saying CMC can't be worth much if we aren't winning while rating his fellow losers on the team highly.

Bridgewater was mostly because of Christian I'd say but that's it

I'm finally excited - a chance to rebuild the right way
MechaZain replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sorry to be a downer but I think we're going to be awful in some key area that prolongs the rebuild all over again, and we'll be lucky if it's just one. I don't believe in this organizations ability to find the franchise HC and QB at the same time and we'll need more than that if they keep trading away everyone. -
Seems pretty clear to me that him and Robbie forced their hands on these trades. They've been entertaining moving both but I don't think they settle for less than astronomical for CMC unless he checked out on them. And the Robbie deal happened at lightspeed after he had his fit.
-
Idk if I could have stomached the Cam/Luke/Olsen exodus without CMC here. Thanks for keeping this franchise on life support and doing it with class. Wish him the best.

Interesting how the "McCaffery's not that valuable if we haven't won anything" crowd doesn't apply that logic to anyone else on the team

Wish I could pie this twice

I don't doubt it but how much of that is because they showed their hand and had no leverage? If he asked to leave they had to accept the best AFC offer they got and every team probably knew this. The return is a not direct reflection of his value if they were backed into a corner.
-
The return’s fine I’m just tired and disappointed in this team. My favorite players have all been let down by the organization eventually. It was the right move given the circumstances but it’s hard to look forward to a rebuild when this team can’t get anything right. 2011 rebuild went ideal and they still came short.

Rather keep DJ for the next QB
