Jaycee Horn To Wear # 8 To Honor Kobe Bryant
MechaZain replied to KatsAzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
Kobe tribute is cool but #8ball with the black jersey is perfection -
The weird overreaction and running joke around this gives me Cam Super Bowl fumble vibes

lmao he's the biggest star and only league MVP this team has ever had. It's a small and harmless thanks for a guy who made that number iconic for the franchise. If it's just a number there's 98 others Horn can forge his own legacy on.

Get a cell phone sponsor and have them pay the fine.

wrong thread but surprised he's first.

Luke Kuechly has resigned from the Panthers scouting staff
MechaZain replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Imagine it's tough being that close knowing you could still be out there and doing it at a high level. He'll be missed but I think it's better for the man to not revolve his life around football for awhile and cherish the other aspects. I'm sure he'll be back in some capacity in his middle age. -
How Christiansen compares to other tackles in arm length.

Villanueva must not be very good then because he should be a Hall of Famer with his 37.8" orangutan arms -
Matt Rhule on Sam Darnold and the QB Situation

I’m actually semi-fluent in coachspeak what he said was if Sam sucks we’ll just draft a guy next year -

in awe at the size of this lad. absolute unit -
Most frustrating part of being a Charlotte sports fan rn is watching the Hornets and Panthers play zone all game due to personnel.

What did we actually gain with the trading down
MechaZain replied to AU-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
They got who they wanted and Fitterer pulled more draft capital out of thin air. -
Trading Bridgewater, skipping Fields, and picking up his option is a nice confidence booster too I'd imagine

All aboard the Tommy Tremble bandwagon
MechaZain replied to Panther Believer's topic in Carolina Panthers
His passing game is underrated and I feel really good about this staff's ability to develop him. Catching has to improve (extremely Manhertz in that regard) but he has plenty of role models here and when he gets the ball in his hands he's more athletic than Thomas or Olsen even. Also plays with more ferocity which bodes well for his work ethic. He's going to get a lot of open looks because of the attention on everyone else. Great situation for all involved. -
Most prepared and strategic the war room’s ever been. Love how Fit is trying to trade into the right spots to grab their targets instead of reaching for crushes.
-
Incredibly small sample but clearly more athletic than Manhertz and looks close to if not on par with Thomas out the gate to me.

Round 2 - Carolina Panthers select LSU WR Terrace Marshall
MechaZain replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I just want to know about this injury. If he stays healthy we just got an elite prospect and reunited him with his championship coach, but I feel like it’s gotta be really concerning for him to fall this far. -
Round 2 - Carolina Panthers select LSU WR Terrace Marshall

I read only 7 total out of 55 catchable passes. That’s like Ginn on an average Sunday. -

He’s fast enough to play outside so DJ is going have opportunities to EAT in the slot -
Here’s a little nugget for your Friday. The Stanford double-dip.

If they like any OT heads and tails over there rest they need to trade above the Bengals or they're playing with fire. I'd be really happy with Little. I love his upside and I think all of our screens and sweeps in the backfield would hide his run blocking. -
Yeah but if they hadn't stumbled upon their franchise QB in the third round when they did they may have never capitalized on it. I agree with you though. Elite defenses take more pressure off the offense than the reverse. If we fix the defense we're a QB away from being scary.
-
Seattle comparison's hard because the planets just aligned for them with Wilson
-
The defense needs it. Ever since the SB run there's been too much weak and whiffed tackling. I enjoyed Eric Reid's time here because at least he would clock dudes.
-
Erving was the starting LT for half of the Chief’s SB run while Fisher recovered. Moton of course. We don’t have a franchise LT but we do have stopgap options still.
-
FWIW while I do think people are sleeping on Slater, Horn is the better there too. If there's any silver lining our bar for a starting LT is rather low at the moment. We just need a competent starter not an all-pro
