  1. LaMelo and Miles are the franchise now but I'm honestly not sold on PJ as a core piece. Like Monk his talent/potential is obvious but inconsistent and I'm high on Kai.
  2. There are like 30 guys on max deals and he's definitely top 25 rn. The way he stepped up when everyone thought the last deal was bad, I'm sure this is MJ's way of saying thanks
  3. They would have given Monk more time if he hadn’t been a brick head early on. I believe he’s matured but we’re building a young team here and buddy was sniffing coke and getting smacked by the team owner early in his career.
  4. The kid’s nice. We got us another NY playground baller. Loved what I saw from Kai too on both sides. Just has to work on his passing.
  5. Max for Terry would be awkward after Kemba but I'm not against it. The way his catch and shoot game has been improving he's a good to keep playing at a high level for at least one more long term contract I think.
  6. That's why Vernon's here but also why it's difficult to fit him into a modern NBA lineup. Also why Dwight Howard didn't pan out in Charlotte despite a great stat sheet. Old school centers kill the ball movement and the game's too fast and stretched for that now. The coaches keep saying that Carey and Richards were hindered by the lack of an offseason so hopefully with a real one they'll be good.
  7. I'm warming up to this the more I think about it. I hear Lonzo's more of a 2 these days and mostly plays point in transition.
  8. We’re the perfect situation for Kai. I’m not sure any other team would be down to commit to the project like we will. The potential of Ball with a pogo stick big man is just too good to pass up. Bouknight seems excited too I think he’s just a lowkey dude
  9. Upgraded to a solid vet at center and brought in more athletic targets for Ball. Get hyped, especially if Gordon can stay healthy.
  10. I think it’s all LaMelo tbh. A lot of the guys have said he’s an upbeat and infectious teammate, and the dude spends a ton of his time in the gym. Kid’s fun to be around and motivating the locker room with his actions.
  11. Just stellar. We got our first round pick in the 2nd.
  12. He just loved being the ultimate one that got away and embellishing the story in retirement. Whether it was his agent’s doing or not Kobe passed on Charlotte, not the other way around.
  13. Like many I was cool with Kai at 11 so this is awesome. They got him, solid vet in Plumlee to bring him along, and another lottery player in Bouknight. Charlotte pro sports are in a golden age of drafting.
  14. If they go with Kai Jones they should keep Zeller as a pick and roll coach
  15. Hope Denver frees that man but I’d like a center with strength for a change
  16. He'd be a big ticket for Greensboro if nothing else
  17. The fanbase needs a reality check on Moton playing LT. If it was as simple as sliding him over and just plugging in a good RT we wouldn’t be so laser focused on the left where it’s harder to find good talent. Moton is an elite RT and not there as a LT. Could he develop into one? Maybe, but then we have a $72m project on our hands. If it happens it will be a last resort because we’ve run out of options and not something to celebrate.
  18. Either some galaxy brain coach speak from Rhule or Ian's not ready to lie down just yet.
  19. Spot on. He gets a pass on year one because he was new and the roster blew, but I haven't seen any indication that he's an above average NFL coordinator yet let alone head coach material.
  20. This is said a lot around here but I'm just not seeing it. Snow put them in zone coverage all year and every once in a blue guys like Chinn would make individual plays. We weren't the worst defense in the league but what little success we had was not because of anything Snow was drawing up. On the other side yeah have weapons but we managed three 1000 yard receivers out of a QB who struggles to throw deep, who didn't have his star weapon, and who wasn't good enough to keep around even though he was under contract. That speaks volumes on Brady's play calling and it's why so many of us are high on Darnold's chances here.
  21. Atlanta. Saints games come close in intensity but Atlanta is closer in proximity and success.
  22. My bad but the point stands. Whole room already knows Sewell is an offensive lineman, why toss that in? He's defending writing him first and he wouldn't do that if they were sold on picking him at #8. It actually makes me feel better about picking Horn. They did their research and chose a guy who wasn't the consensus BPA. They knew they had to pick Sewell if he was there but they weren't in love with him.
