  1. The development year thing only makes sense to me if you have a starter you see as a playoff contender or your pass protection is so bad that you're throwing someone to the wolves putting them under center. With all due respect we've got the washed journeyman edition of Andy Dalton not Brett Favre or Alex Smith. I'm sure Bryce will soak up his veteran knowledge but I don't think there's anything to be gained from sitting on the bench until Dalton inevitably has a bad game and gets booed off the field. "Too much pressure" is nonsense too. Young lives in constant limelight and he's unflappable, all of a sudden they think he could get nervous? There's no way the sugar coat the fact that he's got the weight of the franchise in his hands now. It's in the job description.
  2. Truly the day the magic died. Jake had a knack for looking like a hall of famer in spurts and that game put an end to it altogether.
  3. I‘ve never gotten the impression that the players like Lattanzio all that much though. They were just happy to get MAR outta there. There is something to be said about giving players too much authority on who their coach is. Kinda worried that’s happened with the FC and I could see it if the Panthers had chosen Wilks.
  4. 2nd all-time behind Brady in sneak attempts. I don't think it's as dangerous as the average sack. How often do QBs get injured doing a sneak? I remember Mahomes a few years back and that's it. Fumbling seems like a bigger concern with them.
  5. Great catch but some "why you're not in the NFL" defense in that second vid
  6. A trip down memory lane. Delhomme commanding one of the best drives in Panthers history
  7. Have a feeling that "Bryce Cream" didn't test well with the target consumer
  8. Did they add him to 23 for real or is this a custom character?
  9. A- mostly on the strength of the trade up. Shrewd move at the right time. Mingo: B Johnson: D+ Zavala: A+ Robinson: C
  10. Ickey connection takes this from a solid pick to a great one. This is a steal makes the 3rd pick way more tolerable.
  11. So BPA regardless of need was a lie... I don't mind them rolling dice on the defensive side. Safe picks on offense make sense with Young distributing. And the same concept applies: if this staff is all it's cracked up to be we should have better odds of the projects panning out. I'll feel good about the pick if they sign a veteran stopgap to buy them time. A little concerning if the plan is to start DJ raw.
  12. Smitty's development into a WR coach is going great. Was this the WR they fell in love with at the combine and were being secretive about? Glad the defensive stuff was just talk. He doesn't have an explosive burst but he's still fast, good hands. A great route runner is getting to get fed heavy by Bryce in this offense.
  13. who’s going to tell Joe that Steph isn’t the only person to hit the drum
  14. Reich effectively rotated 3 in Indy and loves two TE sets. https://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/1659200
  15. First pro start at Darnold's current age? Yikes.
  16. Beats the hell out of JR's "family" approach to running a team.
  17. They don't have a choice his body will only put on so much. Bro's naturally slim all the bojangles in the world ain't getting him to 230. But yeah, assuming he does put weight on easily at some point you have to consider the trade off in speed. If an extra twenty pounds takes away his mobility I don't want it.
  18. I think the early rumors that we liked him at 9 were true but AR bumped him off the list at the combine.
  19. This brother is sharp. The quick processing is apparent just hearing him speak. These are very good answers he's spitting in real time with little to no hesitation. I'm sure Tepper and the staff were beside themselves talking to him.
  20. His combine weight is about his ceiling I'd say, just more muscle. We made a big deal about bulking Burns up but he's still listed at his weight from the draft
