You're not making a good-faith argument by blaming literally everything on the quarterback when the defense gave him a fat 38 seconds to overcome its ineptitude, but it seems you're dead-set on blaming him for any problem the team encounters. In this case, it's not warranted. Sometimes it is. But he had no time to throw (pressured on 46% of all dropbacks, an insane amount) and that's simply not all his fault -- particularly when they rush 4 or less and are in the backfield in 1.5s or less. Should we have gotten more than 0 yards? Sure! But he hit a WR in the hands on fourth down and it was dropped. Not his fault. He missed one throw on second down but I attribute first down to a bad play call and third down to poor pass protection. I would've called some quick slants, personally, but it really seems you're saying: - playcalling: Bryce's fault - poor pass protection: Bryce's fault - defensive choking away a lead: Bryce's fault, not the defense - Horn dropping a pass: Bryce's fault It's a great way to garner support on here, because when it comes to Bryce, logic takes such a backseat to context that it's not even in the same vehicle. Plenty of games can be attributed to him. Can't take anyone seriously who solely blames him for that one.

There are plenty of games to blame Bryce Young for. Not scoring with 38 seconds left because the Rams consistently got home in 1-2 seconds while only rushing 4 is not the time to do it. He had one bad throw, was hurried so much he had to bail out or get sacked (somehow would also be his fault) and then his last throw was a drop in stride. Yep, just like gas prices and COVID, only Bryce's fault.

You mean if the defense didn't go prevent and give Stafford 30 minutes to throw right after Bryce threw the go-ahead TD, then yes, but I'm assuming you tuned in for the first time with 40 seconds left.

Mike Jackson had an absolutely phenomenal performance at CB. I don't know if he allowed a single yard.

I know on the first or second play he was chased from the pocket in less than a second. So it broke down pretty quickly.

To be fair Stafford had all night to throw and the Panthers' OL was getting blown up when they'd only rush 3 or 4. Plus his last pass was in stride and dropped but hell, if you're really blaming the QB because the defense gave up a TD with 38 seconds left, you're not having a terribly serious argument in the first place. Bryce is alright. He's not the one glaring weakness on a Super Bowl-caliber roster (the dude who said that is one brain short of needing a brain transplant), and there are some other needs to be filled first, but competition would be beneficial. Pick up the fifth, wipe the tears and see what happens.
