Post- Training Camp 53-Man Roster Projection

I'd like to see a drive long enough Thursday night that at least one kicker gets to attempt a field goal to help give some idea as to which one deserves the job -- even if it's a 56-yarder to cut the lead to 40. -
Besides, it doesn't take much practice to hand the ball off twice, get sacked on 3rd and 8 and jog back to the sidelines six times.

Team will never be good as long as Tepper owns the team

I didn't insult anyone. I said it was a stupid take. There's a difference. Give it another shot next time. Of all the people to talk about creating enemies where there aren't any, that's pretty rich. You've argued with everything I've said since I joined. -

That’s a pretty stupid take for a moderator. It was a bad rookie season by any account but it wasn’t even close to the worst ever. Anyway, this team will never be good as long as it runs the 3-4. -
Stroud also had to go for it on fourth down just to score on our backups. Not impressed. Same goes for the rest of the team today though. Ryan Fitzgerald was about the only bright spot.

Still another game to play. -

You're attaching conventional strategy to a coach who often laughs in the face of that. I could very well be wrong but I bet he comes out and says "we weren't sharp, we'll look at the tape and assess it," then the starters roll out there for the opening series. -

I don't disagree. There's often turnover in places there shouldn't be before there's turnover where it needs to be. -

I would about bet on 2 series for the starters Thursday. -

I've seen guys boom it into the stands (one of them is a fraternity brother of mine). It's worth fewer points to do that. If he's accurate, he should be the kicker. -

Are we complaining about a made field goal? Who cares how it looked? It cleared the crossbar from 52. Matthew Wright and Eddy Pineiro would've had to punt it from 48 yards to get there. -

It also costs assets that could go to numerous other holes. If it were 2009 and you felt like you were a QB away, great, but look at the other holes. For whatever you think of Young (clearly, nothing) he's still proven more than 90% of the starters on defense. That's not good. -

Nice kick. I'd like to see Fitzgerald play his way into the job. -

I'm indifferent about Manning as a fan, but I do think he's immensely overrated. -

Sometimes it's because of the QB and sometimes it's because the receiver isn't getting separation and even an in-stride throw comes replete with an immediate hip tackle. -

I used to enjoy his commentary because of his accent and his legacy as a player (I eventually forgave the Bright incident) but this year pretty much keeps me in Anti-89 Mode. -

The T-Mac one wasn't a drop at all, but the Sanders one was absolutely on Sanders. -

I like Dalton as a person a lot. I don't know he's a top-20 backup at this point. -

Don’t celebrate too soon. He might be alright. -

Young didn’t play well either but that drop was 1000% on Sanders. Bounced right off his hands. Any NFL starter needs to make that catch. Sorry if this offends. -

Well, probably gonna rank last in punt return yards this year. -

Meh, he wasn’t good but he converted a third and long if his stonehanded TE could catch. -

I’m not crazy about these slow-developing pass play calls with a lousy OL performance, no hands and a jittery Qb.
