Let it sink in: Three of the four worst trades in NFL history have been initiated by the Panthers in three short years.
-
Jalen Coker's going to ball out here, even with AAFL-tier QBs, then get packaged in a trade along with a third-round pick for a future fourth from the Lions. Let's all just be honest, we know it's coming.
-
Week 3, 2024, was Morgan's high point and his only win. He's going to go down in history as the co-architect of the NFL's first, second and third 0-17 teams even if he's fired after the first one.
-
There's no way that's all the Chiefs would get. Try: Hubbard Horn 2025 third 2025 fourth 2025 fifth in exchange for: 2028 conditional sixth
-
It was good media-speak. Morgan's at least not as socially inept as Fitterer and Tepper, who I imagine cower in the corner whenever someone walks in the elevator.
-
There are at least seven Arena Football League teams that are better, top to bottom, than the Carolina Panthers.
-
I've always been a Morgan supporter and I'm not going to let his incompetence as a GM stop that. I mean, whoever's the GM here will always be a record book-writing, abject failure. Just like the coach, and the quarterback, and the owner.
-
What's left to be blown up? Seriously? At least 25 other teams' 2s are far better than this team's 1s.
-
This makes me think Morgan's signing him to a big extension. It makes sense -- think about it; whatever the rest of the world would consider retarded, the Panthers do. Personally, let's deal No. 1 overall to the Jets for a third and a sixth in 2028.
-
I don't disagree. Tepper is the head of the problem and always will be; thus, this team will never be good, decent, mediocre or just simply bad again. No, they're destined to be historically awful for the next 20 seasons. I think it's an injustice if they don't go 0-17 at least three years in a row. Shame that son of a bitch all the time.

Bump this thread after every Morgan trade, every ignorant signing, every "wow they paid to give away one of their best players again" social post from NFL pundits. Basically, bump it all the time. Let's collect all his failures here.
-
I know it's coming. You know it's coming. Ten coaches, 10 years. We all know it's happening.
-
This team won't win five games the rest of the decade. Not in a season, I mean they won't win five games in the next seven seasons combined. No other sports team gives up its best players for free, drafts worse, or spends more cap room to be this bad. I'd argue no sports team has ever been the worst in the world at all three, other than this one. Makes me glad I root for another team.
-
Creating a thread for everyone to pile on the GM, since there are already plenty of them for the owner and this season's coach. I, for one, was excited about the prospect of Morgan as the GM. I was wrong; he sucks and is doing nothing but contributing to decades-long failure, with only the faint hope of the franchise folding being the light at the end of the tunnel.

Well, maybe next year's GM/coach combination will be better. "Coach of the Year" used to be an award. Now it's just the job title in Charlotte.
-
Ward would be a good pick. Morgan has no interest and Tepper wouldn't want him.
-
The only reason a Panthers fan should have hope is maybe one of the young guys will be good enough to get traded out of here for a Day 3 pick in two years.
-
Like I said: none.
-
What's crazy is that if those four players were just released outright, this team would be better off than now. It's the punchline of every sport; "At least we're not the Carolina Panthers." I seriously don't think they're going to have a record as good as 3-14 for another 9-10 years. Hopefully by then they've folded, because their existence is an embarrassment and a black eye on the Carolinas. Every day they're in business is a worse day for this state.

Players given up in trades the last few years: RB Christian McCaffrey WR D.J. Moore DE Brian Burns WR Diontae Johnson Value received in return: none
-
Four thoughts on this: 1) the real payoff hasn't happened yet; that'll be when this fifth-round pick gets cut after training camp next year, and their sixth-round pick is an All-Pro three of the next five years. 2) I was excited about Dan Morgan as GM. I was wrong. I'll admit it; Fitterer's the worst GM in NFL history and Morgan's not that bad, but he's a God-awful GM and easily No. 32 in the league. 3) This team will set the record for most consecutive seasons with the NFL's worst record, and it's going to be for at least another decade. It'll be until the mid-2030s before another team's season is worse than one of these. 4) Three of the five worst trades in NFL history have come out of Charlotte in the last three years.

I hope Young plays well, but the odds of Young playing well are worse than the odds of me winning the lottery. Since I don't buy lottery tickets, you can imagine the odds.
