I wore my Wesley Walls jersey today. I love getting compliments on it. Plus, at least this was a competitive game.

Bryce looked good in preseason against the Lions last year. Did that translate?

If we're giving Canales a year to learn in his new role, maybe do the same for Morgan. He can't rebuild every position before his first camp as a GM, so I'll be interested to see how he navigates everything this season and in the draft.

There are many examples, because you're skipping over a lot of seasons (and a few winning ones). But the most notable for me was Luke picking off Russell Wilson and returning it for a touchdown in the 2015 NFC Divisional Playoff against the Seahawks. The stadium was shaking, it was so loud and active.

That was kind of my point in the first place.

Hell, players rallied around Sam Darnold in December of 2022 (a.k.a. "the one month it was fun to be a fan and we were maybe good" in the last 5 years). I don't know how good a leader Darnold is, and unless we're on the inside, most of our opinions are rooted in personal bias or hopium. I'm rooting for Bryce, for sure. I don't think it'll make much difference, but I know of at least one example when a non-rookie Panther QB stunk up camp and the preseason, had people thinking he didn't earn the starting job, and then he started the season off well and put up better numbers than expected. (He also wore No. 9).

I think that's an emotionally driven opinion. I've read multiple stories of Young doing things consummate with leadership. I wouldn't conflate my dislike of someone into such a strong confirmation bias that a leaf falling in front of me would trigger the thought "that leaf is as weak as Bryce Young, who also can't throw deep, lead an army of minnows into a bucket, or outrun a parked car. Also he's as small as a minnow" but it seems there are some on here who might think that way.

Ultimately, all that stuff is window dressing. Either he'll play better or he won't. There will be some mitigating factors, like hoping he wears a glove to catch those high snaps that come twice a game, and his left tackle forgetting he's supposed to block four times a game.

Luke will do a fantastic job. He's a perfectionist who's grown into his role as a broadcaster.

From my experience, yes. If you don't like seeing 3/4 of every post being about Bryce Young being short, weak, dumb, frail, slow (I recall some plays last year that speak to the contrary there) and numerous other terms, don't open any threads.

Tepper having a lot of money is not a positive, it's a colossal negative.

I don't understand this concept of "hiding them" or "not exposing them". They just went 2-15. You think every other team doesn't already know they suck? Double-decker sandwich: I could see this team's run defense being a strong suit in a lot of games. Subpar pass protection, bad snaps and OL penalties are going to ruin a lot of drives. The all-white uniforms still look cool. I am cautious, but very optimistic about one of the rookies on this team. Bryce is likable but just not quite good enough to be a franchise QB. Dave Canales' upbeat, youthful energy is a welcome change from stoic Reich, folded-arms Wilks and A Slob to Be Named Later.

I think Canales sat most of the starters because he knows this team's depth is shorter than the rainfall we just got in the last hour.

It's not the plan, per sé, but it's yet another organic tank on the back of several horrible trades and drafts. There's not enough talent here to win. That's not really tanking in any way. I think they want to win, but are as unsuccessful as the gang in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" were with any get-rich-quick scheme.

0-17 or 1-16 and he's one and done, but despite my pessimism in thinking this is absolutely an 0-17 team on paper, he should get two seasons at minimum. Let him have a go with his own QB.

If you don't settle for 3, I'd keep the 2024 O/U at 5.5, but not for wins -- for touchdowns.

There will probably be more dropped passes, penalties and turnovers than points scored this season. 150 points is gonna be a tough, tough ask.

I don't think any coach could make this roster even remotely competitive. If Canales is at least not out of his element strategically, give him a year or two. This business of giving up on a rookie coach 3/4 of the way into his first preseason game with 31 starters out is crazy.

Thus far we've run 7 pass plays which have totaled -12 yards.
