    He attended a school where the best cheer they could come up with was “Hotty Toddy!” It is well within reason for him to feel regret, embarrassment, and perhaps shame. It was probably the root cause of his depression and alcohol issues as well.

    I think playing tentatively instead of hard and fast kept him from being 100% Luke on the field. The guys that compete with his type of ferocity are miserable when they're "only" at 98% of their best.

    I don't see it. He may be too involved, but he's never gone out of his way to be in front of cameras, interviewed, nor has he pretended to be the GM in the draft room.

    Seeing as he's our third consecutive retread and he's likely a one year rental, I doubt the organization will roll out a huge media red carpet. Who knows?

    I will say that it is remarkable that after a dismal season 12 years ago, the guy is still universally known on this board as “Pickles.” Fun fact; my first visit to the huddle was Pickles’ first start. “Let’s see what the message board nerds have to say about this guy!” I said. “It’ll be fun and informative!” I said. Oy vey.
