  1. Well, we're a QB, coaching staff, and GM away from being a competitive team then. Our roster isn't as putrid as our record.
  2. I don't totally disagree, but going from a simple college offense to the NFL and then playing with the 3s he was only going to look but so good. He seems capable of learning and his arm and mechanics look way better than Grier's ever did. There was one day in training camp while Baker and Darnold were "competing" and people were asking where Corral was and he was on another field practicing handoffs. He's raw as hell. Lord knows Rhule likes to bring rookies in slow and I don't know that it's such a bad idea for later rounders, but I think this was going to be a redshirt year for him, injury or not. I haven't given up on him yet.
  3. It's remarkable that the defense has looked as decent as it has. The offense has done it zero favors.
  4. A rookie in this poo show of an offense could be way worse than even what we’ve seen. At least Baker’s not throwing a ton of picks.
  5. Yeah, I don’t automatically wince when Baker drops back…yet.
  6. Who Snow? Are you saying that Snow prefers man but has given in to Wilks zone philosophy or vice versa?
  7. Pretty much sums up my feelings about it. I was wondering if some of our All22 analysts could give us some possible adjustments to look out for.
  8. I just assumed Snow preferred man hence us getting every man corner available. It seemed to me like the soft zone came back with Wilks. We ran a lot of Zone under Rivera. I wish we would play more man coverage.
  9. I'm not as sold on Wilks as everyone else is. We've put a lot of resources toward our secondary and it's not looking better under Wilks.
  10. Well, fair enough Scot. I could follow your posts and point out every time you come off as "prickish" or "douchebaggy" but I don't think anyone has that much time on their hands, plus I really don't care that much. Savor your victory. Cheers.
  11. Nope. Not spinning anything. I was making fun of anyone who thinks that a billionaire would make multimillion dollar decisions based on message board threads. I stand by it. You do realize you are the gold standard for arrogant opinionated blowhards on this board, right? You do know that about yourself, don't you?
  12. If it gave you a chuckle, that's the point, dude. You must not get my sense of humor. There's a difference between the critical crowd and "open letter to the owner/I hope we lose" crowd. Just like there's a difference in the crowd that wants to do their best to be optimistic and the "blindly sunshine and rainbows" crowd. If me poking a little fun at the constant bitching crowd makes me comes off as a prick, I can live with that, but even you can probably see the irony in you being the one to point it out.
  13. I didn't realize that you were one of those that made open letter to the owner threads. I apologize if I hurt you feelings. I will add though, that if you believe that the billionaire owner of an NFL franchise is going to make a decision based on message board complaints, there's a chance that you aren't as smart as you think you are. The premise of the thread is simple; let's discuss if our putrid offense is doing anything good that they might can expand upon. I threw a little sarcasm in there that offended your delicate sensibilities, and for that, again I apologize.
  14. It would be a great redemption story and a lot of huddlers' heads would explode. Not going to bet my next paycheck on it though.
  15. Unlike all the crybabies that want us to lose so that they can write juvenile open letters to David Tepper, I'm trying to remain hopeful here. Can our offense turn it around? Can the OL gel? Can Baker get it together? Give me a few reasons to think it's a possibility. Also, is Darnold still alive? Is he even on the sidelines? Bonus points if you can explain to me why our secondary sucks and is reverting to a Rivera soft zone.
  16. No, you forgot. Training camp reps. Remember?
  17. Is there any QB out there without a built in excuse?
  18. Pssshhh. Next you'll be telling us that good teams usually have good QBs and bad teams usually don't. Hogwarsh.
  19. I know the Saints were supposed to be ok this year, but they’re not. One decent showing from our defense against an offense that is really struggling does not mean we are ready to be a contender.
  20. How is Brady Christiansen looking at guard? Is Ickey showing some good with the bad? Why is our secondary looking worse?
  21. Beating the Saints is always a good thing
