    My wife lost her mom to cancer two years ago. Her company gave her ample time off and sent flowers. That was more than we expected. I guess its about expectations, and apparently Deangelo had his too high.

    I'd say there is a lesson in here somewhere about internalization vs externalization. If my friends didn't show up to something that was very important to me: Externalization: I have crappy friends Internalization: How can I be a better friend and in turn make them want to come next time.

    I don't want this to be another topic on the who said whats or who was in the right or wrong. I would like to gauge Panthers fans reactions to how Deangelo handled his release and your feelings as a result.

    They told him last Monday as more of a heads up and professional courtesy. They cannot designate him until 3/10. Likely, If they publicly say he is released now it would cost the franchise some money.

    Also, it's probably worth noting how much the Panthers worked with Dwill and his mom on the beast cancer awareness stuff.

    He said no one in the Panthers contacted him. He then said Gettleman and Rivera did after I asked him to clarify.

    He since said both Rivera and Gettleman spoke to him.

    I feel bad for him. Obviously he feels wronged. Seems like better communication during the season would have helped

    Well, he said Gettleman did reach out to him and Rivera spoke to him as well. Sounds more pausible. Shocked that big cat didn't though. Very out of character.
