I’m expecting a breakout season from Ja'tavion Sanders
WhoKnows replied to Car123's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t see Sanders getting anywhere close to that production. Tremble is likely starting and he and Sanders are just OK. Best bang for the buck is that Evans ends up being that blocker plus receiver and takes the starting spot. We want to run the ball so a TE that legitimately can block well and also get open/catch the ball would help so that Ds can’t key on the offense based on the TE. -
This is first draft that I have actually really liked! Now whether that turns into Ws that is on coaching and playcalling. I believe DM has given Canales enough to truly compete this year. At least it seems Morgan has a plan for the roster. Fitt had no plan and blew our whole roster up. So here we are.....

Being extra cautious with our best defender. More weight on that knee than JJ McCarthy

How would you feel if Bryce did this in 2025
PantherChris replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
This.... for over a decade now defenses have gotten lighter and faster to combat pass happy attacks, the last few seasons you have seen a TON of power running teams becoming very successful because of it..... -
I guess you hated the cam era

An honest look at Bryce Young
BEASTfromdaEAST replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why? Look how tough sometimes short yardage situations can be for teams to get in the NFL. The Eagles or other large body QBs have no problem picking it up. Not being able to QB sneak can completely change game plans, making it much harder to be unpredictable as an offense. Go ask Eagle fans if they care about having a QB n oline that can almost guarantee a 3rd or 4th and 1 AUTOMATIC Game changer type ish -

We are a lot heavier than we were in 2022... I'm split because we would have home ice agaist the panthers -
I am in favor of being extra cautious for the time being if need be given recent events. As for the source in question it does sound like the guy who wears socks with sandals could have worded things better. But hey we take what we can get with this local reporting squad until the franchise lifts itself out of joke status.

Big part of what he does is being able to get that head around quickly at the last minute to make a catch. I can’t imagine how bad that must of hurt his neck. I hope all is good with him. -

2027 NFL Draft in Washington DC.

I wonder how he'll make sure that all the attention is on him. -
Many people are saying they'll get two million people.

QB sneaks and hail marys are off the table.
-
I could give AF about a QB sneak. Plenty of QBs also couldn't scramble the way that Bryce can, you work with what you have.
-
For better or worse I don't think that's ever going to be on the table. What game was it last year where we got ourselves into multiple 4th and 1 situations on the opponents side of the field and every single time Dave Canales opted to bring out Eddie Pinero who proceeded to miss wide? It's definitely something they are going to have to figure out.

Those are bad picks at 8. The draft grade depends on how you view TMac. We viewed him highly (that scares me since our scouts appear to suck at wr eval.). Taking Walker or Williams would have been bad at 8; one was injured for a whole year and the other was a tweener. The move was to trade back. However, if we broadcast we wanted to move up as a smoke screen (which we did) then those trade back offers would have been weak.

Delhomme was average physically but his fire and competitiveness meant he often showed up at big moments. He relied on others to get the yards. Bruce is similar. His strength is his processing speed and elusiveness in the pocket. He won't overwhelm you with athleticism and needs the team to do the work for him. Like most teams their quarterbacks are average. If everyone got 30 tds to 10 into, then that would be average. You know who else had average physical skills? Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.
