  2. Yes BPA is a myth. Certain positions will always be weighted.
  3. best player available is subjective. every team will have their own list based on their needs and fit and metrics. what the media's supposed consensus is doesn't matter.
  4. To be honest, getting the Panther first round picks correct isn't hard because we are always at the top. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. Also, once we zero in on the guy, we suck at hiding our infatuation with that player.
  5. I disagree game #3 will be the one they win if they win one, they will come with a huge push in the first agian if we weather it and grind out a W in game three this is a sweep.
  6. But Fletcher Cox is likely HOF bound. Kinda splitting hairs with those 2.
  7. I can't even see a 4rth. A beat up 31 year old tackle that costs 31 million might get a 5th and that's a long shot imo
  8. Agreed. Neither are a good fit. Trade back or take a better fit if forced to do so. It's not like the talent is really that different 10 and even 20 picks later.

  10. Best description yet. It doesn't exist and it is completely subjective process.
  11. BPA is a lie and I wish we'd stop talking about it like there's a universal power ranking for the draft class. It's meaningless because "best" and "need" are both highly subjective team by team. Most media big boards had Fletcher Cox ahead of Luke. The good teams have the luxury of low stakes picks and incrementally upgrading the roster because they don't really have needs. The bad teams have needs at critical positions that are hard to draft, as we well know.
  12. I like him as well--a day 3 qb who has the tools. I see a 6 - 4 dual threat qb who's weakness is probably his passing. If Canales can get that worked out--lotta times it is just footwork or processing more than anything else--he could become a force. Has been working with Phillip Rivers. Arm strength seems to be good. Definitely a possible diamond in the rough.
  13. Verge has really spiced this up a bit with her Mykel Williams prediction (based on an inside and an outside source) and the fact that she called Jalon Walker a "smokescreen" (or agreed to that description). The fact of the matter: I see neither as a good fit based on their college play. If Graham goes off the board at 7, I am praying for a trade back.
  14. I was going through this draft slowly, and I got to the Raiders and thought, "Hmm. Graham could be there." Then I thought, after seeing the Jets draft Graham, "Now I have 1 more reason to hate Aaron "the narcissist" Rodgers.
  15. Dan is the smartest in the room.
  16. Time to bet even more on Walker
  17. I think the only thing that throws a spanner in the works is if Graham falls to us, which seems a distinct possibility at this point.
  18. if you want to be successful at the draft you have to always take BPA .if not we (Panthers) would have for example never drafted a HOF LB by the name of Luke Keuchly. &, why do you often see the exact same teams picking at the top of the draft year in & year out year after year like clock work doing the exact same thing by ignoring BPA & instead drafting for need/fit often times never really seem to find the right players to assemble a winning football team with if Jalon Walker is who the Pats think is BPA at #4 then that is most defenitely who they need to draft at #4 ...just saying
  19. To be honest I'd also trade Chau Smith-Wade for a 1st and David Moore for a 1st or 2nd. Lets load up on 1st round picks.
  20. That's good, 1 Ward,2 Hunter,3 Carter,4 Jalon Walker, 5 DT1 or OT1, 6 RB1, 7 DT1 or OT1 or OT2, 8 can pick DT1 or OT2.
  21. The fug we aren’t. It’s broom city we take game three.
  22. Yes you are correct. Those 3 are locks for a roster spot this season. The 1 year rental gets them through this season to offset Brooks reinjury. Next season is when things get interesting in the RB room.
  23. Freddie showing why he is one of, if not the best playoff goalie currently active. Dude was outstanding after that first one. Kept us ahead in the third when he could have easily given a couple up as defense started breaking down low. Realistically, we're not sweeping this clean, so split these Jersey trips and bring it home so the boys can be home for a couple days at least without flying.
  24. The only RB there being Ollie Gordon is very interesting. Big guy and ran a 4.61 at the combine but looks faster than that in games. This draft has a plethora of backs to choose from
