“Do you still hear the lambs screaming, Clarice?”

The Bears. Even if none of the guys work out on either side, the Bears got a legit 1000k WR. I still think Williams can have a Baker-esk turn around but I'm not expecting his maturity level to be high enough on his rookie contract if ever. The Bears fleeced the Panthers and the team they have built around that mistake is unimpressive and looks to be going nowhere.

good write up, btw. thanks for doing all that work

I fixed the OP for those of us using dark mode.

Yep… if we took those offers, we’d basically be looking at Nolen or one of the outlier or low production guys (Walker, Mykel, Stewart) paired with maybe Higgins or Noel at WR. This McMillan+Scourton+Princely combination just seems way more sound, has far less/no flags and way greater potential. Honestly, stepping back and looking at it, it really is one of the stronger scenarios we could’ve asked for. WR1 and 2 potential starting OLBs. The Denver trade we made was a very cool package that gave us a lot of flexibility. One of the more interesting mid-draft trades we’ve made and I think it really helped us out.

I agree. Definitely someone I’d feel comfortable betting on

This guy is a bit cerebral. He’s very into refinement and figuring it all out. You don’t see this with a lot of prospects. Super sharp kid.

Rod's not making this easy by juggling the lines -
Nor sure I'd want to be Timo on Tuesday... Svech, clearly, has plans for him!

Gets asked about it at the :25 second mark

That got me thinking and so I had to look. 17 fuging years now. Wow.

Great write up. I think we're going to try to keep both of the guys we've gotten from the Vikings on that DE/OLB rotation. I don't think they ever had the chance to get up to speed together. And I really agree with you about Clowney. I really think this room really is going to depend on whether our long-term goal is to continue with 3-4 (I hope not) or go back to 4-3 full time. I'm hoping the safety situation and the LB situation don't end up biting us in the butt. I just don't see where we've gotten better there yet. I hope I'm wrong about this. O-line... just when things are jelling, you find out this might be the last season the group can expect to be together... that's just our history here. Again. Any thoughts on Moose's kid, Moose 3, coming as an undrafted FA WR?

That’s interesting to know. He’s adjusting and conditioning to what feels like the optimal situation for him. I’ll tell you, sounds like he’s been coached very well to recognize those things, have the strong run game skills and continuing to build out his moveset. He really seems like a high floor guy that I’m just surprised lasted that long. Feel really strong about him and Princely. Just tough guys with good experience, size, skills, there’s no weird outlier question marks with either of them.

I've been here through all of that. I'm like a cockroach. I'm not going anywhere.

Yeah, we kinda found out didn't we. A lot of the people who whined constantly left and a lot of the toxicity just magically vanished with them with zero changes in how we moderated the site. Wild. It's almost like the folks who were constantly complaining about toxicity were causing a lot of the toxicity. Listen, some folks were unhappy here so they left and created a place where they're happier. Good. That's how the internet should work. That's the beautiful thing about the internet. If there isn't a virtual place that you think should exist you can create that place. But you really have to stop trying to drag us back to that place of toxicity. If you like the Discord group, cool. If you still like it here too, great. But don't keep dragging up this bullshit. Do you see me going over to their group and calling them a bunch of whiners? No. They created the place that they wanted and I'm genuinely happy for them. Participate here without constantly bringing that poo up or just leave and stay over there.

Are the Panthers still coddling Bryce?
ForJimmy replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
He has the arm talent you want with good size and mechanics (can break down under pressure). I feel like PSU never really turned him loose, but they also didn’t hard any great weapons not named Warren. I could see him as a Herbert type prospect who makes a better pro when he gets away from his college’s scheme. I doubt he makes it out of round 1 unless he regresses big time without Warren. -
I think Bryce is going to benefit from TMac’s ability to track the ball especially when the play breaks down. Legette wasn’t great at that last year. Im interested in seeing if XL comes back this year putting more of an emphasis on using his hands to catch the ball. If you go and watch all of XL’s receptions his final season at South Carolina he catches the ball the same way he did his rookie season. He’s never trusted his hands and it shows up when he’s asked to catch the ball over his shoulder. There’s always going to be frustrating drops if that’s how he’s going to try and catch the ball the rest of his career Scourton lost 20-25lbs after the college season. He actually played at a similar weight to his A&M weight his sophomore season at Purdue when he had 10 sacks. However, he said he felt his body was more tighter (weight wise) carrying that extra 20-25 at Purdue than at A&M. He said the weight loss wasn’t even done purposely but just him learning how to eat correctly.
