Thought it was a great draft overall. Only thing I probably would have preferred was Billy Bowman and Malachi Moore in the 4th. Wanted Tez, but Horn is a similar receiver type so good with it if they think he's a better fit.

Smitty probably envies a 6-5 guy and sees him taking his gifts for granted. He had to work his butt off to play outside at 5-9. I think perspective has a lot to do with his evaluation. TMac played on a bad team. He was on the field a lot. Maybe he makes an assumption when he states that TMac loafed when the ball was not coming to him. Maybe he was advised to catch his breath during those plays--conditioning, coaching, etc. could have been an influence. Smitty can say what he sees, but not why he sees it, if that involves assessing TMac's mindset.

Steve Smith has a dislike of tall receivers. I feel like Smith's main purpose is to boost up small, lesser-known receivers. Every time I've heard T-Mac speak, he just seems to have that it-factor vibe. I love how natural of a catcher he is. He's going to make some fascinating plays that's for sure.

That works for me too. I just felt like not enough have converted to Bluesky and that was why he was "forced" to use X.

I know every jersey thread goes in this direction, but I feel the need to say it. The Chinese knockoffs are not your friend. Not only does the money not go to the panthers, but you don't control where it does go. The athletic did an excellent podcast on the business of counterfeit shirts not too long ago. I could care less about the legality of it, but the morality of it is no bueno. Now I need to wash off the "defends billionaire class" off myself, but like don't give your money to those people. A friend of mine, Chip, was taking an exam in a business course that he had failed twice before. He would have to drop out of his major if he failed it for a third time--he claimed the professor, Dr. Brown, despised him, and several others who had Dr. Brown's class with Chip confirmed that Dr. Brown's hatred for Chip was obvious. Before the exam, Chip was up all night cramming, confiding to his roommate Jeff how nervous he was. Jeff was understanding and listened carefully. During the exam (an evening course) Jeff was at work delivering flowers for a local florist. As Chip describes it, a woman (another student who worked with Jeff) entered the classroom with flowers and a card with the words "Dr. Brown" written on the card. The professor immediately sent the girl out; Jeff was watching from the hallway. She left the flowers on his desk and scampered out. Chip laughed because he thought the professor, a man he hated, was being pranked. A few minutes later, the professor opened the envelope, and read the card. Chip was still laughing. He walked toward the students, still taking a timed test, and stopped at Chip's desk, staring at him. Chip stopped laughing. He dropped the card on Chip's desk while snarling at him silently. I still look at the roster and think it's a bottom 3 overall in the NFL, if not still firmly last. It's just gonna take some time, IMO.

Was projected to go i the 5th. 6'6" wingspan, a lot of starting experience at Pitt, solid return guy, not too shabby. With the status of our CB room, he has as good a shot as any to creep onto the team. His biggest issue was likely getting drafted by the raiders, bless his heart.

In incarcerated terms OG is Original Gangster, but is a euphemism and term of respect for Old Guys. So when you are locked up and a new guy comes in with his towel and bedroll into your unit that looks 40+ or so you say what’s up OG? It’s kind of a term of respect and acknowledging he is not a young blood.

The most important aspect of a prank is that it has no singular victim or is not personal in any way. The genius of a prank is that it might elevate the fun of a rivalry or something like that. This had a victim--and it was targeting an individual so it is malicious and stupid in that his father's job could have been compromised. As stated, I would have thought it was funny at age 22, but I grew up. I think Jared Allen's friends did the same thing to him by calling him from a back room at his draft party---that was wrong too, but they were in their early 20s. I agree with everything except “our offense is loaded”. Too soon for me to say that, but OFF is trending up and should be fun to watch on sunday’s.

I hope he shows out. If he’s healthy (the reason I believe he took the time). He can be our second vet guy who can contribute. We will definitely keep 6 Wr this year. XL, Tmac, Adam T, Coker, Renfrow, and Horn JR (contributing on special teams returning) is a good upgrade and solid WR group top to bottom as long as the young guys pan out

The upside to signing Renfrow now is that, even if we end up cutting him, if we get into the season and someone goes down we'll have a solid veteran option we can bring in who already knows the offense and can step in right away.

We get D Brown back, which is HUGE, and Moehrig is a really good pick up. BB3, Wharton, and Jones are, IMO, solid pick-ups but not elite, which is fine... most aren't elite. All good, however we will be relying on 3 rookies as either starters or getting significant play time. There will be growing pains. Also, after Horn and Jackson, our CB room is cringe-worthy. We made A LOT of progress, for sure, but we're not there yet. Should be good enough to keep us in games though because our offense is loaded if Bryce continues his upward trajectory from last season.

I'm guessing they will rotate these guys in a little more each game until they show that they can play grown man football.
