Good for you. I have been set back by 3 divorces so I kinda deserve what I have left. Spent every dime I've earned on raising my 2 son's by myself and helping out my mother financially. I'm not complaining. But if I did have the cash I probably would try this just for the experience. I would not be a regular unless I win the lottery. But it's hard to win when you don't play. -

Yup Grant was the reason Graham got to make so many plays -
I have less of an issue with 90 being used since Peppers left on his own and spent almost half his career playing for other teams. He "only" had 81 sacks here before he left for Chicago, and yes I know he came back to add 16 more in those final two years, but he's not a HOFer if you remove his Chicago and GB years. Luke played his entire HOF career here and then retired, Cam and Smitty were cut after long HOF caliber careers here despite neither wanting to leave. And while I know you can use my same argument against Peppers against Smitty, as he wouldn't eventually end up in the HOF (and he will) without his stats from his Baltimore years, again, we forced him out when he didn't want to leave and his stats in those years were the icing on the HOF cake he baked while in Carolina.

NHL has a hard cap and fully guaranteed contracts.

These players are making millions upon millions of dollars to play a child's game, more money in a year than most regular joes will see in their lifetime, so I don't feel bad when they get cut because they aren't playing up to the value of their contracts, whether they moved their family or not (and fyi, pretty sure most players don't move their families when they change teams late in their career when they're already bouncing around teams every couple years).

We may have dodged a bullet with Mason Graham. It’s only rookie camp but he didn’t look the part. https://twitter.com/nflfrascella/status/1921375482009862169?s=46 -
Strength of Schedule for 2025
Gapanthersfan replied to Kentucky Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games? 2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments. teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes. The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at. -
Strength of Schedule for 2025

Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often. - Today

With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.

I sacrifice greatly, even to this day, and should have that kind of money by the third quarter of 2026. I saved money to free up my time, and by next year, I won't be spending money to save time, I should have all the time in the world to figure out how to spend (and invest) even more money. Not tryna preach, but I have been taught to make Proverbs 13:22 a guiding princple. God has blessed me to be in the company of some influential people. As a result, I'm on my way to legitimate generational wealth. -
Still miffed at the Bills for swiping him b4 we could but it is what it is.

You gotta think big, bro. That being said, there are much better and more meaningful ways to drop 10K. -
Vegas knows what's up. No one is really accounting for players having a down season or anomalies in stats, it'salways hope of steady improvement which has been very rare around these parts. Remember when the team had a 2nd ranking in yards allowed the year before and then proved it was just an anomily from poorly understanding how all the stats relate because the other teams didn't need yards to run up the scores? This team screams of similar things. 6 wins looks like a solid bet. I'll belive in more when it actually shows up to belive in consistently.

Those NIL deals are going to ruin sports altogether. Why would Arch Manning bother taking a snap in the NFL if he already has that kind of money?

It's funny how its been the *down* years were we make the best runs, The 23-24 season we made the finals with Marinook as our leading scorer no Svechnikov and banged up Turbo and Aho. -

I'm not being rose tinted I will call out bad play when I see it (im not a Facebook canes fan who thinks any criticism is *bashing our team and leave if your not gonna support*) I just tend to leave the criticism at the door until it actually shows on the scoreboard, I definitely wasn't pleased with the first period but at the end we were 0-0 no need to panic. I'm quietly very quietly optimistic at this point, although this is the least *skilled* team we have iced in the last three years we finally have size and physically throughout the line up along with Svechnikov performing in the post season. I won't get a head of myself but I like our chances.
