2025 Panthers Draft Class - Overview

I have been a critic of morgan but for this draft at least it seemed he understood the value of pics and trading a bit better then last year -
Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

I mean not really there are expectations on players based on where they are drafted. For example a player in the top 10 should be an immediate contributing starter. Thats universally understood -

I think the "terrible logic" part was about Pittman being a 2nd Rounder. Because yes, I 1,000% expect T-Mac to put up better stats than Pittman has, but where they are drafted is now completely irrelevant and a sunk cost. -

If tmac only has 2 1000 yard seasons and never tops more then 6 tds in 5 years then he is a bust all things considered. If his stats mirror pittman as your post suggests then we should be upset. -

Time will tell on how the players pan out, but the process seemed much better this time. Dan Morgan won a lot of points with me for this draft. The man may actually know what he's doing. -
Round 5, Pick 27 (#163) - Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame

Off my memory panthers ran over 63% 2 TEs last year. I dont know if the targets will be there, but he seemed to favor 2 TE sets. That could change this season with more 3 WRs looks, just like the defense I dont know what will be on the field this season. I know they tied the hardest to carry 4 TEs each week, but lots of injuries hit. Matthews ran out of call-ups early. I think he was cut and resigned week one. After some thinking and huffin draft hope, Evans looks like a tremble&sanders combo. I think players will have to show the coaches/Dave they need targets or Carrys, almost force them to be included. Unwise feed Chubba and look for AT on 3rd down..... -
My personal laptop has about a five minute lock. My company laptop will go about a minute and it will lock. Same with my phone (because it has a remote access connection to my employer's network and they require it). It is annoying, but I understand why they do it. And I work from home. I work in cyber threat and these are pretty standard requirements now for any major corporation. I bet they will be now for NFL teams.
-
It's not about difficulty, it's just not something I'd ever even think about doing or being necessary. And FYI, this is coming from someone with severe OCD issues when it comes to locking things. I'll re-check/re-lock things 5-6 times before leaving sometimes because I can't help it, or even once I've left, turn around and go back to re-confirm (I have a real issue with it lol). But locking my work computer in my own home while I go get something from the kitchen for a few minutes, it has never one time crossed my mind to do that.

Terrible logic. -
So you're saying if you are working at home and decide to go make a sandwich in the kitchen while you have family members are in the house, you lock your computer for those 5 minutes to make sure one of your own family members doesn't go and do something stupid and mess with your job? Unless you work in the highest levels of national security or something, that would just be a bit extreme, as nobody is thinking their own son is going to do something like that (again, unless he's done things in the past to make you think he is that dumb).

The final piece of the puzzle, no stopping us now! -

No doubt, but I am just saying that if everything works out the way the coach wants it, a tight end might not have many opportunities. Hopefully, all of them make the most of the chances they do get. -
His girlfriend is a 6 at best.

My guess there will be games in which Panthers run the ball 38 times and next week 16 times. Just win, whatever it takes... -

watchout when Tmac unleashes potential, he can put up better numbers in the NFL than college. -

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if it even matters. We have a coach that "says" he wants to run the ball. We have two good rb's and a third we drafted. We have a Oline that is geared to run block. We have a wide receiver group that contains two first round picks, one of the best hands guys we have had ever (Thielen) and and a promising undrafted free agent in Coker. And we have at least two tight ends who have shown they can catch passes on occasion. How many chances will any tight end, even a good one, actually get? Our number one might have less than 40 catches, and still have a good year. -
RUMOR: Panthers interested in CB Rasul Douglas
Basbear replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
This dude just makes plays for 4 straight years and can not find a home. imo he was dawg here, saved green bay and bills seasons form getting ugly. Just after he balls out, the team just don not want him. He should have never left the Panthers, he saved the Panthers after the apple didn't play while hurt. I'd pass, unless jc horn is already hurt.....
