but again, we have drafted more players from that college than anyone else on planet Earth....and that stat predates Sellers stepping on a football field. It's just what the Panthers do for whatever reason. Sellers averages like 15 rush attempts per game. And he isn't Cam Newton or Lamar Jackson. I think Sellers around these parts has been vastly overrated because of a game Clemson couldn't tackle in (and Clemson proved in every game this season they might not be able to tackle David Tepper if he was in the open field. Sellers couldn't do anything as a passer that game. Was meh in the bowl game. But sure, he had some miracle scrambles vs a horrible tackling Clemson team. Folks way too high on him IMO).

If Bryce doesn’t produce, we moving on?

Good lord that's insane. LOL It's insane to use over a third of your top 30 visits on prospects at any one school much less a middle of the pack P5 school. It's not like South Carolina is Ohio State or Alabama, etc. They're basically half a step up from UNC. Hell, we beat them last time we played. -
I don't disagree. I'm just saying we used 11 of our top 30 visits on south carolina players and we brought in one, as a udfa. I just wonder if some of that was to research Sellers. Also I don't like South Carolina as a Pipeline either, but Sellers does have a lot of potential and could definitely climb up the qb rankings this season. He was a redshirt freshman last year and showed a lot of improvement. They clearly didn't spend 11 of the top 30 interviews on south carolina players because they were wanting to bring them in this year or they would have drafted some or brought in more than 1 udfa.

This is the only reasonable approach. He played much better down the stretch last season. Well enough for us to commit to him this season. Let's let this season play out and see where it goes. There's no pressing decision that has to be made right now so it's a non-issue. -
maybe one of the worst franchises in the NFL......should reconsider the pipeline fixation from the U of SC. We have more draft picks from there than any other university on planet Earth. and zero all time from the best football program in the Carolina's. might be time to mix it up differently.

Oh ye of little faith. Bryce Young will be the starter for the Carolina Panthers for years to come. You better prepare thy anus.

Don't forget we spent a lot of draft capital in taking Mingo, Legette, and McMillian to give him wr weapons after we spent a fortune to make him the #1. I don't think he will ever live up to being a no. 1 pick but could turn into a serviceable starter. -

Met several people from here at the Super Bowl pre-party in SF before SB50. Roaring Riot basically started here as a fledgling little tailgate. I’m sure Jeremy is just busy with life and Lord knows I know that poo happens, but this place still rocks and I’m grateful to him for it. -
Luke had to enlighten on that lol.

I honestly think this coming season is his make or break year. I have noticed some press conferences where Dan and Dave have made some interesting comments when asked about bryces future and upcoming contract and they've basically said they're not thinking about that or factoring it in at all. Hopefully he continues to improve, that is our best bet. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks they have already start preparing if he doesn't make another jump this year. The thing that have made me wonder, while doing some detective work. The Redshirt freshman from South Carolina, Lanorris Sellers. He has crazy potential and improved greatly throughout the season last year. I saw we had 11 south carolina players in for our top 30s including 5 or 6 that were expected to go undrafted. It's a bit of a conspiracy theory but could they already be doing a lot of research on Sellers by talking to his teammates. Again, I'm not a Bryce hater and I think the best option is he continues to make a jump this season. It's just something that has stood out to me.

AT cant' get open either. He is just a savvy old guy eating on up all the slot reps. The fact he seperate and run lower the entire ceiling of a Bryce Young O. As does the fact we get below league average production out of the backfield in the pass game when we go to it. since the moment we drafted Bryce, I have banged the drum slot WR, rec RB, and TE would be the most important things we could do to build around Bryce. We have done basically the polar opposite. It's why I call the Tepper era random parts.

yeah...very favorable remarks from what i've heard. seems everyone was also very surprised with the TMac pick. that video was funny "he lied to my face"

he averaged 2 yards in YAC per reception last year. He can't generate quick separation. He was debating retirement last year. Yet we champion him as some great option. AT is a savvy vet we force feed the ball too......on a team starved for basic offense the last couple seasons. We overrated AT. Which is why some freak when people like JT on his podcast point out the painfully obvious about him.

The Athletic has us ranked 28th on their post-draft power rankings, mainly due to us picking T-Mc instead of defense in round 1. They recognize we needed WR help, but... https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6317651/2025/04/29/nfl-power-rankings-post-draft-rookies-eagles-chiefs-bills/

I mean, he is a slot technician. That's what he does. So, in a good offense, you would be trotting him out there on 3rd downs and situationally.....to not take what they give him but to move chains. It's a niche. AT hasn't threatened defenses in years. Last time we saw Renfrow on the field he averaged..... 6 yards YAC per catch. Adam Thielen last year averaged....2 yards in YAC per catch last year. I still contend in reality, AT isn't a slot WR. Not in reality. He is an aging rec TE. And those aren't the same thing. AT simply can't generate quick separation or provide YAC.

I had to use one of the bathrooms at work this morning and the person who had just used it was clearly older because it reeked (and had that horrible spiritual/atmospheric pressure) of a prescription dump. This thread felt like the appropriate place to weep after that Hell.
