  1. Past hour
  2. T-Mac was widely regarded as the only receiver in this draft with WR1 potential. We couldn't trade and feel good about it.
  3. Bryce was playing on a high level the last part of the season. Hard to believe we played both superbowl teams that close. Philly came down to a dropped pass and we'd have handed them a L. If he comes back in that form, we won. If he goes back to early season form, we'll be picking high next year.
  4. I would probably hesitate to call our WR room loaded just yet. It COULD be loaded but it has a lot of things that need to go well. Tet needs to pan out(fingers crossed). XL needs to actualy develop(much more pessimistic here) Coker needs more reps and to continue to improve(also would like to see an expanded role). AT needs to keep winning in his valiant race against Father Time. The "Others" category just needs to have an additional solid contributor or two. David Moore was a pleasant surprise late last season. Maybe we get a guy or two like that pop up. Preferably amongst the younger additions.
  5. Yea this is the answer. If Bryce wins a Super Bowl with Carolina and Caleb never does with the bears, then we won. It doesn’t matter if DJ Moore makes it to the hall of fame in that case. Anything short of a championship and we lost that trade. The value is so lopsided a SB is the only thing that can justify it.
  6. Yeah like the Rams never tried to trade for Burns and the 49ers didn't trade up for Lance. Even the better teams still do big stupid things at times. Should have taken that trade IMO. Both of those teams are desperate for rookie talent with their cap issues. This will be interesting to look back on too.
  7. I will say that in 2 years Morgan has rebuilt and/or improved a huge chunk of the team Qb- same and a wash Rb- improved Wr- greatly improved Te- improved O line- greatly improved D line - improved Lb- wash to me Cbs- wash Safeties - slight improvement Looking way too far ahead I see our needs next year being cb, lb, back up qb, safeties and o line depth( maybe rt)
  8. Absolutely. He has the physical talent but his issues start between his ears. Again, it took baker 4 teams and 6 years to get his head out of his butt.
  9. I agree. Imo, what we need to see from a young developing QB are clutch throws under pressure and avoiding to many turnovers and bad sacks. Big yardage totals are somewhat overrated.
  10. If Caleb Williams doesn't work out it's definitely his fault because the Bears are ALL IN. They went out and got an offensive coach and they've put an embarrassment of riches of skill positions talent around him. It's on him at this point.
  11. I think about 11 for me, not quite the old timer some of y’all are but not that far off
  12. It was probably orchestrated by some of these teams in the hopes he would slip down to them
  13. This is, by far, the best description of our WR room last week ever!
  14. I was here with my current name right after the name change. Then the crash of 08 and the famous draft party and bar crawl after party. Fun times.
  15. Cool. Sure seems like all the media talk about T-Mac slipping leading up to the draft was just flat out misguided and we drafted the guy that the actual NFL talent evaluators had as the clear WR1. Good.
  16. Think we absolutely nailed our pick. This isn’t the first we’ve seen about teams wanting him, either.
  17. “Do you still hear the lambs screaming, Clarice?”
  18. The Bears. Even if none of the guys work out on either side, the Bears got a legit 1000k WR. I still think Williams can have a Baker-esk turn around but I'm not expecting his maturity level to be high enough on his rookie contract if ever. The Bears fleeced the Panthers and the team they have built around that mistake is unimpressive and looks to be going nowhere.
  19. good write up, btw. thanks for doing all that work
  20. I fixed the OP for those of us using dark mode.
  21. Today
  22. Yep… if we took those offers, we’d basically be looking at Nolen or one of the outlier or low production guys (Walker, Mykel, Stewart) paired with maybe Higgins or Noel at WR. This McMillan+Scourton+Princely combination just seems way more sound, has far less/no flags and way greater potential. Honestly, stepping back and looking at it, it really is one of the stronger scenarios we could’ve asked for. WR1 and 2 potential starting OLBs. The Denver trade we made was a very cool package that gave us a lot of flexibility. One of the more interesting mid-draft trades we’ve made and I think it really helped us out.
