he averaged 2 yards in YAC per reception last year. He can't generate quick separation. He was debating retirement last year. Yet we champion him as some great option. AT is a savvy vet we force feed the ball too......on a team starved for basic offense the last couple seasons. We overrated AT. Which is why some freak when people like JT on his podcast point out the painfully obvious about him.

The Athletic has us ranked 28th on their post-draft power rankings, mainly due to us picking T-Mc instead of defense in round 1. They recognize we needed WR help, but... https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6317651/2025/04/29/nfl-power-rankings-post-draft-rookies-eagles-chiefs-bills/

I mean, he is a slot technician. That's what he does. So, in a good offense, you would be trotting him out there on 3rd downs and situationally.....to not take what they give him but to move chains. It's a niche. AT hasn't threatened defenses in years. Last time we saw Renfrow on the field he averaged..... 6 yards YAC per catch. Adam Thielen last year averaged....2 yards in YAC per catch last year. I still contend in reality, AT isn't a slot WR. Not in reality. He is an aging rec TE. And those aren't the same thing. AT simply can't generate quick separation or provide YAC.

I had to use one of the bathrooms at work this morning and the person who had just used it was clearly older because it reeked (and had that horrible spiritual/atmospheric pressure) of a prescription dump. This thread felt like the appropriate place to weep after that Hell. -
I go into every season with the optimism that in today's NFL you cant ever really predict when a team is going to exceed expectations and another is going to be decimated by injuries or otherwise self destruct. So yeah! NFCS Champs.

Yes. The last thing I need is one of the animals (child included) running across the keyboard or accidentally deleting an important email. I'd rather deal with the couple of extra seconds of having to put my password back in then compromise the data I'm trusted with. That's not extreme at all. It's literally the bare minimum that somebody could do next to nothing. Instead of chalking up blame to not knowing the future, we can prevent that future with just a little personal responsibility.

Attention Seeking, Nostalgic Pining, & Daily Grievances (In Here)

so last night my daughter who is playing softball had a parents vs daughter softball scrimmage. i grew up playing baseball and played softball for most of my college and adult life up until about a decade ago. i didn't really have any reason to stop, but i also wasn't in any situations to play. i figured, "why not?" well, now i know "why not?". about 8 years ago i slipped at work and banged my head on the concrete floor. had a concussion that was pretty bad for a while, but that was a long time ago. the only lingering thing going on is that i have double vision, but i'm used to is. i've adjusted....or at least i thought i had. i played catcher (one of the positions i used to play a lot) and i got up to bat. both ended up being terrifying. apparently when you've got double vision, it also affects your depth perception. i couldn't see the ball coming. well i saw it, but i didn't know where it was. i got hit once and i thought, "ok. i'm done." i'm talking to my wife about it and she says, "well, you're probably never going to play softball again." that's a sad realization for some reason. well it was in the moment. then my thought was, "i really have to pee" and i was over it. point of all that is, getting old is...... interesting. thanks for letting me share. -
I'm guessing the league provided the contact information of all the prospects coming out this year. Once the teams have that list its probably available to all the top brass on the team. Each team has their own idea of who should have access to that information. I'm guessing the league will now set rules on who can have access to that information going forward.

Mediocre is more of a best case scenario IMO. Going from one of, if not the worst defense in NFL history to middle of the pack? Maybe im not as high as others on our off-season additions, but i dont see that as being realistic. Would love to see it though.

Doubtful. Rod won't play him until we have our backs against the wall or a ton of injuries. Even though with Jersey being depleted and a 3-1 lead now would seem to be the perfect time to get him on the ice Chichago is eliminated so we can't get him any time there. -

A bunch of them. -
I'm seeing on Twitter that a bunch of players received prank calls this year. I haven't seen they were all from the Ulbrich kid, but either way it's not a good look for the NFL for that many player's contact info to be in that many people's hands. What I don't get is why it was ever necessary for a team's defensive coordinator to have that information. They're not the ones who make that call; that should be sent to the GM, who would assign whatever staff in his office to keep track of it. The assistant coaches have zero need to even have that information to begin with.

I wonder what the trade back offers were? It would be interesting to put together a draft using those picks. I did not think we would ever get a chance at Mike Green in the second or that we would pass him up for Scourton. Princely in the third was great value but was it wise to take two edges at that point (probably, he is a really great value there)? I still see Tet as another big body that can't get separation, but i was encouraged by the fact that Bryce and him worked out together in California and have a rapport. If the 49ers and Rams really wanted him too, i am probably wrong on his potential. I was really expecting another turd class like last year and this one is much, much better at first blush. It could be a great draft class...only time will tell at this point.
